Whey, All the Way

While whey and soy are both good as protein sources, soy has a lot of phytoestrogens - plant chemicals that act as estrogens in the body. Some people say that these weaker estrogens help ward off real estrogens like estradiol. Nope, it is not an antagonist of any type and is still a bad estrogen. Thus, I shun soy and only buy products with whey (casein and milk protein are good as well).

there is a variety out there for a reason. Many people's systems absorb things differently. I for one have thyroid issues. Soy is NOT allowed as it worsens the thyroid problem. Whey is the only way for me. Others may have allergies that will not allow them to use whey. For them, soy is the better option. Why cant people see that different forms of protein are out there to help everyone in different ways? No one can say one is "better" than the other when there are so many other factors that go into ones decision.
