Although whey comes out on top, I like the people who posted saying why not have both, or that you should get protein from many sources.
Who is to say I can't have whey supplement then eat some soy beans? (Very yummy and filling, plus you get fibre, something whey isn't going to give you.)
Flavour is a factor. Whey supplements taste disgusting! A friend of mine honestly thinks there is NOTHING you can do to make it taste good.
You can also eat lean meat, eggs, cheese, beans etc etc etc after a workout. My doctor has always said your body absorbs nutrients best from natural sources.
Convenience is also a factor.I think what I might like to do would be to buy single serving bottles of soy milk and mix in whey protein because it is easy to bring with me to the gym. Thanks for that suggestion, whoever posted it!
