A good breakfast...

by Jay
(Florida)

Your largest meal of the day should be breakfast. Lunch should be medium and your dinner should be a small portion since your metabolism slows down during sleep.

Hungry in between lunch and dinner? Eat an apple or some other piece of fruit. I personally like snacking on rice cakes because they virtually have no calories and should fill your hungriness.

Work out a few nights a week as well. I try to go to the gym for at least an hour every other day.

The myth about breakfast
by: Anonymous

Studies have now shown that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day and should actually be realatively small and very high in fiber. As soon as you wake up your body is just recovering from sleep. Your body is most vulnerable to bacteria, and sicknesses. Metabolic waste has been settling in your body and needs time to clear out. Your body is stiffer, weaker and just all around in the worst shape of the day. It is a good rule of thumb not to consider any meal of the day the "Largest Meal". If you are dieting and exercising you should be eating four or five small meals per day of the right foods.I think that it is safe to say that all five meals of the day are equally important, but what is truly important is not the meal, but what you ate for the meal. You do however have some good points.
