I think the point of the workout is to get moving during a time when you would normally be sitting and eating. Instead of sitting and accumulating calories, you are burning them.
I don't think the point was to only workout one day per week at all.

That is a fair point. I forgot the part about extrapolating it to the TV show of your choice... I am going to amend the workout to make that point clear.

Here's the deal. You can get a workout for one day and that would be a great workout. But one day's worth of working out is just not gonna cut it to make any differences what so ever. Sorry man but I have to say that this plan just isn't gonna cut it.
