Gaining Weight

by Sherry B
(cypress, ca)

I have been following a diet plan to the tee, I have started walking, but my weight is going up instead of down. Could I be gaining muscle, and that's what's adding the weight? It's only been 4 days.

Thanks, Sherry

Dont panic.

Dont panic. 3-4 days is way to early to be talking about any progress. I always recommend people to start easy and steady with their workouts instead of loading themselves. You might get a little bigger at the beginning by like the comment before you says: its all about body fat %!!!

Gaining Muscle?
by: Anonymous

It is possible, if you have not exercised for a while, you are probably starting to build muscle, which is a good thing, you will burn fat faster. Your goal should be to lose fat, not overall weight. You might want to check your body fat % and see if it is changing.

Definitely don't panic and stick with it, and you will get the body you want. Your body weight fluctuates by a couple of pounds every day, so what you are seeing may also be one of those fluctuations.

Keep it up and don't lose hope.
